A neutral Indian-English voice over artist based in Chennai, described by clients as conversational, soothing, metropolitan, educated and neutral. I favour a personal, intimate read over the announcer-ish, bombastic style.
The journey
Voice-over wasn't always my calling. I dabbled as a graphic designer in advertising, ran a design and web company, and to this day run a video production house.
That mix (design, advertising, production) is exactly why I read a script the way I do. Having sat on the client's side of the glass, I know what a brand is trying to say and who it's saying it to, so the narration lands as a conversation rather than an announcement.
I grew up in an English-speaking household in Chennai, and went on to study Visual Communication at Loyola College in 2003. I spent years in graphic design and advertising before moving my company to photography and filmmaking full-time in 2015, which is where the obsession with microphones and recording first took hold.
In late 2019 I started voice-over work in earnest, beginning with audiobook chapters at Librivox.org and moving to paid projects in early 2020. After two years and hundreds of clients across every genre, I launched this site in 2022. I speak Tamil and Hindi conversationally, but I record voice overs in English only.
From New York and London to San Francisco and Prague, my home studio lets me deliver broadcast-quality audio to clients anywhere. An Indian voice over artist, for the world. Hear the samples or read what clients say.
